Volvo IT and business system supplier IBS have signed an agreement making it possible for IBS’ customers to allow Volvo IT responsibility for operating their business systems.

Volvo IT has been commissioned to develop and maintain FordEcat, a system Ford's dealers in Europe are using to streamline the sale of parts and service. A new version of the system will have been installed at 5,500 dealers in 40 countries by the end of June.

The Elektroskandia wholesale company is handing over responsibility for running its business system to Volvo IT. This means that both customers' and suppliers' electronic transactions will pass through Volvo's computers at Torslanda in Göteborg.

The Västra Götaland Region is signing a three-year agreement with Volvo IT. As a result of this deal, Volvo IT will assume responsibility for running the region's economy system and the system that handles salaries for the region's 50,000 employees.

Volvo IT is going to store X-rays with the associated patient information from hospitals in the Västra Götaland Region. This assignment has been commissioned by the medical devices company GE Healthcare, which is building a new, central system for hospitals.

AB Volvo’s subsidiary, Volvo IT, is signing a new three-year agreement involving all mainframe operations for Ford-owned Volvo Cars. The agreement represents the continuation of a 40-year partnership.

Nobel Biocare and Volvo IT have extended their cooperation agreement. Volvo IT will operate Nobel Biocare’s global IT infrastructure and give the medical technology company worldwide access to the Volvo Group’s IT technology and resources.

Göteborg University and AB Volvo´s subsidiary, Volvo IT, have signed a collaboration agreement, through which the Volvo Group and the University aim to strengthen Western Sweden´s competitiveness in the IT sector.
