Volvo Group migrates to OFTP2 – X.25 and ISDN will be closed down!

Volvo IT planned to discontinue supporting ISDN and X.25 by the end of 2010. Unfortunately, due to the fact that many Volvo Group suppliers and EDI partners are late with their OFTP2-migrations, we are forced to prolong the time plan. New deadlines will be announced.
NB! This is not a reason to slow down your OFTP2-migration activities. Any suppliers and partners still using ISDN or X.25 need to take action to migrate to OFTP2 as soon as possible!

Time plan changed for X.25 close down
Volvo Group has decided to change the time plan for the close down of X.25. Volvo IT will discontinue supporting X.25 by the end of 2010. The time plan is the same as for the close down of ISDN. It is absolutely necessary that Volvo Group EDI partners take actions to meet the time plan and to secure the migration from X.25 and ISDN to OFTP2 before the end of 2010. (20100407)

Volvo Group and OFTP2
Due to the closing of X.25 and ISDN Volvo Group has decided to migrate all EDI partners using OFTP over X.25 and ISDN to OFTP2 over TCP/IP.
Volvo IT will discontinue supporting X.25 and ISDN by the end of 2010.
