LDS team wins Golden Touch Award 2012

The team includes about 60 employees in both Tianjin and Gothenburg. Together, they turned a situation with huge quality issues into a stable and quality proof application with good performance.

The jury’s reason for the award reads as follows:

“For the persistent, systematic work and dedication of the team to resolve the problems one by one in order to turn a situation with very dissatisfied customers into something successful.”

is collecting the award on behalf of Kwangho Lee,
AD Site Manager China, and the LDS team.

LDS – Lean Dealer Services – is a business critical dealer management system that provides aftermarket services for Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, and Volvo Construction Equipment.

Kwangho Lee, AD Site Manager in China: “This is a great recognition for the LDS team both in Gothenburg and China. It will definitely motivate the team to keep providing top of the line services to our customers and to do it with a positive spirit.”

Kwangho Lee says that the most significant key factors to this success are to always listen to the feedback from customers and users and continuously improve service as well as functionalities in LDS. He would also like to point out the great synergies between Gothenburg and China, both parts of the team consistent of highly committed and hardworking team members with strong customer service mindset.

The team works by a clearly defined working process in all steps; maintenance, application support, enhancement, and roll-out. Each team member knows what to do, how and when to do it, and whom to report to. “We have also invested a lot in improving the team’s business domain knowledge and functional knowledge”, says Kwangho Lee.

The Golden Touch Award was introduced in 2003 in order to make good initiatives within Volvo IT visible. The award can be presented to complete teams or individual co-workers. Anyone is welcome to submit a nomination to the Executive Management Team. Selected EMT members are included in the jury.
