The only thing that is permanent is – change. Organizations constantly change and IT systems need to adapt to those changes. To take IT integration to the next level, Volvo IT formed two “integration factories”.

Volvo IT knows how to organise and manage security. A dedicated security programme has resulted in a certificate - ISO 27001. This can generate additional business, as security is extremely important when customers source IT services.

Just before Christmas the staff at Volvo IT received a different kind of Christmas present. Instead of an actual present they received SEK 1 million to donate to the charities of their choice. The majority chose Médecins sans frontières (MSF), which received SEK 540,000.

Per Berlin has once again been commissioned to act as project manager for Volvo IT’s deliveries to the Volvo Ocean Race, following extremely successful deliveries to the previous race.

For the first time, Dynafleet has helped the police to recover a stolen truck and its cargo in Brazil. Tracking the vehicle using Dynafleet online, every step taken by the thieves was identified and addresses were clearly identified.

The Volvo IT internet site, volvoit.com, saw a dramatic increase in traffic in 2010. The number of visits totalled more than 100,000, most of them related to job searches. volvoit.com has also been awarded as the best internet site in the industry.
