Communication and fewer sites boosted global R&D at Ericsson
The telecom sector is extremely competitive. To stay in the lead, Ericsson has consolidated its sites and currently has far fewer than five years ago. Together with basic “hands-on” things like communication and clear objectives, this is playing a crucial role in driving global R&D. At the Strategic Camp 2011, organised by Volvo IT, “Opportunities and Challenges of Globalised R&D” were discussed by 26 R&D executives from the Volvo Group and other invited global companies.
